Mossy Mind Syndrome (MMS)
To celebrate international Outdoor Office Day, we are publishing the Mossy Mind Syndrome (MMS) poster in english.

The poster was originally made to encourage Finnish work towards nature as a part of Luontotyöpäivä concept, but it is perfectly suitable for use elsewhere as well.
You can print a poster (A3 size) from the file below, or you can save the .jpg file to your computer.
We wish everyone more and more opportunities to take their work to natural environments so that we can avoid the Mossy Mind Syndrome or other challenges brought by physical inactivity and being indoors. For the symptoms of a Mossy Mind Syndrome we recommend:
- At least 30 minutes of outdoor activity in natural environments per day (active commuting, walking meetings, telephone meetings and remote meetings on foot)
- aim for 300 minutes of contact with nature per week (active commuting, outdoor office, walking meetings, remote meetings outdoors…)
- a two-minute walk, stretching and/or strength training session every 30 minutes throughout the workday.
- reducing sitting to less than 300 minutes (5 hours) a day.
The page was last updated in June 2026, when the Mossy Mind Syndrome posters were updated to follow the principles of the 3–30–300 Nature Recommendation.
